Terms of Service
Last updated: August 19, 2026 (version 2026-08-19)
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Breadly (“Breadly”, “we”, “us”) covering the Breadly Chrome extension, the trybreadly.com website, and any related services (together, the “Service”). You accept these Terms when you tick the acceptance box in the extension’s welcome screen. If you do not accept them, the extension will not run and you should uninstall it.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.
2. What the Service does
- Breadly detects when a supported AI site (currently ChatGPT and Claude) is generating a response, using visible interface signals such as the Stop button.
- While a response generates, Breadly may display one clearly labeled sponsored card in the corner of the page. Sponsored cards are never inserted into your chat messages and are never presented as AI output.
- On ChatGPT, Breadly hides the site’s own inline “Ad” and “Sponsored” cards. This changes only how the page looks in your browser.
- If you are signed in, viewing or clicking a sponsored card can earn Bread Buns on your Breadly account.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, and at least 16 if you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Service with the consent of a parent or guardian. You must have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
4. Your account
Rewards require an account, which you create by signing in with Google. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to it secure. One person may hold one account. You may delete your account at any time by emailing support@trybreadly.com.
5. Bread Buns and rewards
- Bread Buns are a promotional loyalty balance. They are not money, not legal tender, not securities, and not a stored-value or gift-card product. They have no cash value until and unless you successfully redeem them under the terms then published.
- Bread Buns are personal to you. They cannot be sold, transferred, gifted, or combined across accounts, and they do not pass to anyone else on death or dissolution.
- Earning rates, redemption thresholds, reward catalogues, and availability may change or be withdrawn at any time. Nothing here is a guarantee of income.
- We may withhold, reduce, or cancel Bread Buns and close accounts where we reasonably believe activity is fraudulent, automated, duplicated across accounts, or otherwise in breach of section 6.
- Unredeemed Bread Buns may expire after 12 months of account inactivity, and are forfeited if you delete your account or if we terminate it for breach.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- generate impressions or clicks by automation, scripts, bots, emulators, click farms, incentivised traffic, or any means other than your own genuine use of a supported AI site;
- create multiple or fake accounts, or misrepresent your identity, location, or device;
- modify, decompile, or interfere with the extension, our servers, or our advertising or anti-fraud measures, or circumvent frequency caps;
- resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Service or any sponsored content;
- use the Service in breach of any applicable law or of a supported site’s own terms.
7. Data we collect
The Privacy Policy is the full description. In summary, and as a binding commitment under these Terms:
- We do not collect the content of your conversations. Breadly does not read, store, or transmit your prompts, your uploaded files, or the AI’s replies. Generation timing is detected from visible interface elements only.
- We collect what is necessary to show and credit sponsored cards: which supported platform you are on, whether a generation is in progress, sponsored-card impressions and clicks and how long a card was shown, per-session totals, your account email if you sign in, a random extension identifier stored in your browser, and standard request metadata (IP address and browser user-agent) used for fraud prevention and security.
- We do not sell your personal data, we do not use it for advertising profiles or credit decisions, and we do not transfer it to data brokers.
- Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- If we ever want to collect anything beyond the above, we will describe the change, update the version of these Terms, and ask you to accept it in the extension before the new collection begins.
8. Sponsored content and third parties
Sponsored cards are supplied by advertisers. We do not endorse advertised products and we are not responsible for advertisers’ sites, offers, or privacy practices — those are governed by their own terms. Breadly is an independent product and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google. ChatGPT, Claude, Google Chrome, and other marks belong to their respective owners.
9. Licence and intellectual property
We grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the extension for its intended purpose. We retain all rights in the Service, including its code, branding, and the Breadly companion artwork. You keep any rights you already hold in your own content; nothing in these Terms transfers rights in your conversations to us.
10. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may add, change, or discontinue features. If we materially change these Terms, we will update the version above and require fresh acceptance in the extension before you continue using it. Continuing to use the Service after acceptance means you agree to the updated Terms.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if we suspect fraud, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, and 15 survive termination.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that detection of AI generation will always work on sites we do not control. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Breadly will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost Bread Buns. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars (US$50).
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Breadly harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where the mandatory law of your country of residence applies. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at support@trybreadly.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days. Courts located in the State of New York, United States will have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive relief where necessary and consumers may bring claims in their local courts where the law requires it.
16. General
If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us. You may not assign them; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, and where user data is involved we will obtain your consent as required by the Chrome Web Store Limited Use policy.
